How much will a site cost?
Costs start from £1000 and increase depending upon the complexity of the site. Many sites average around the £1500 mark.
Th costs include a years hosting on WD servers, if needed. I will also take care of the domain name registration. Sorry this is a bit vague but obviously the more work needed on the site the more it will cost. Why not get in touch for a no strings attached quotation.

What sort of sites do you design?
Anything and everything. Wish Design can design and build anything from a simple brochure site to a full and complex interactive site with every facility you could ever wish for. Anything is possible. What about hosting?
Once you have a web site you need some way of allowing the computers in the rest of the world to communicate with your web site. This is done by placing your web site on a computer permanently connected to the internet. This is called hosting the web site.
If you already have a host we can, if you wish, stick with the one you have or transfer it across to our preferred in-house hosting option.
What about domain names?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register with the global internet registries (the UK registry being Nominet).
For example: this domain name is “wishdesign.co.uk” and the BBC's domain name is "bbc.co.uk".
If using Wish Design's in-house host we can provide you with a .co.uk web site domain name and the first years hosting absolutely free when purchased with a Wish Design web site.
If you need a .com, .net, .org or in deed anything else we can also register this for you (for the current standard fee).
I’m not sure what I want on my site can you help me?
Yes I will help you plan what content and features you need on your site to help it fulfill its purpose.
How do I keep my site updated?
If you opt for a dynamic site you can alter the content easily (honest).
My expertise is in Joomla, an incredible open source content management system designed to allow the creation of web sites.
A content management system is software that keeps track of every piece of content on your Web site. Content can be simple text, photos, music, video, documents, or just about anything you can think of. A major advantage of using a CMS is that it requires almost no technical skill or knowledge to manage. Since the CMS manages all your content, you don’t have to.
Needless to say, I will show you how to manage your dynamic site. I’ve even done this successfully via email.
Do you only build sites for UK clients?
No, you can use my services where ever you live.
I can except your payment through PayPal, Google Checkout and “Cardholder Not Present” credit and debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Solo and Maestro).
What experience do you have?
You can view sites I have created on the portfolio page.
How long does it take to create the web site?
The time-scale of the project is generally dictated by the client. The most common delay in the creation of a site is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client. If you have a deadline in mind I will endeavor to meet it for you.
What happens after the work has been completed?
In accordance with Clause 4.3 of the Wish Design Terms & Conditions you have the opportunity to review the site and submit any final amendments. After this period the site will be submitted to the hosting company and you can tell the world all about your new fabulous web site.
Once my site is built, how will people find my site?
An insightful question! All Wish Design web site designs are Search Engine Optimised and all include Search Engine submission as standard.
Search Engined Optimisation (SEO) - this means that the site is written in such a way that Google, Yahoo and MSN (and the rest) can find the site and rank it well.
Search Engine Submission - submitting your site to the most important search engines and directories so that they know the site is out there.
Wish Design provides these services as standard and free for all web sites designed by the company.
If I buy a web site from you do I own it?
Yes, once the web site is complete you own it. Clients are not obligated to host with us (even though most do) and are always free to have anyone they want work on their web site or move it to another server. If you provide us with the necessary contact details, you will also be the registered owner of the site and will not “lease” the use of the domain name from us - as you are required to do by many of our competitors.
What can I do to drive additional traffic to my site?
Promote your site. Let other people know it’s there! Include your web address (URL) on your business cards and letterhead. Mention it in your TV, radio, print, and outdoor advertising. Place your URL on your business signs, door, and company vehicles. Put it in the signature line of outgoing e-mails, in letters, and in direct mail campaigns. Show your URL on promotional merchandise (shirts, key rings, or other items).
Encourage companies you deal with to reference your site in their web sites or blogs.
